THE BEAUTY OF 'ME TIME'

As women, we tend to put the needs of others before our own. Every day we're balancing our husbands, families, friends, home, finances, and jobs, ensuring everyone and everything is running smoothly. That's not a bad thing, but the 'me-moments' are often few and far between.
We may not always be comfortable with solitude, but there are so many things to learn about yourself by spending time with yourself. Now don't get me wrong, I love spending time with hubby, and I live for a good girls day, but there's something special that happens in those moments alone.
Here are a few easy activities that I love during me-time:

Catch Up Your Shows
I typically don't subject Joe to The Real Housewives, and I actually enjoy watching it alone. I'm usually weeks behind, so I get a few hours of binge-watching with some popcorn and wine. It's your own personal girls night. This can apply to any girly show you may like. If you don't have one, find one. I promise you it's so much fun!
Have A Spa Day
There's nothing more relaxing than indulging in a luxurious bubble bath or a facial. I love my pamper sessions, but they often get pushed to the backburner. Being more intentional with my spa days has given me a space to relax and unwind on a routine basis.
My current bath favs are Ouai Chill Pills and Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt Body Creme.
Lately, I'm reaching for Fresh Sugar Face Polish or Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial to give my skin a pick-me-up. Add a candle and some tunes...watch the stress melt away!
Read A Book
When is the last time you remember reading a book just because you wanted to? I’m always on the hunt for a good read and sorry, I prefer old-fashioned pages over audiobooks. I love heading to a coffee shop or cozying up on the couch with my current read and a cup of tea. Currently reading I Am My Brand: How to Build Your Brand Without Apology. It's amazing!
Go For A Walk
Going for a walk and breathing in fresh air is an instant stress reliever. Whether it's listening to worship music or the sounds of nature, these morning strolls help me to clear my mind and make room for my stream of consciousness. Some of my talks with God and creative ideas have come during a walk alone. Sometimes a change in pace and scenery is just what you need.
Stay consistent with your me-time. It's truly magical.
